Hamburg was once two towns with two rulers. Trostbrücke connected them, and their founders still face each other here in stone. Who they are is for you to find out.
Bishop Ansgar founded the cathedral in the 9th century and stands for the old town. Count Adolf III founded the merchants' new town around 1188 and is considered the father of the port. Around 1216 the two towns grew into one. In the Middle Ages, money changers sat on this very bridge.
Find out who is facing whom. Split up between both sides and take a photo of your solemn reunion in the middle of the bridge, with both statues in the picture.
