The Speicherstadt is one of the world's largest trading hubs for oriental carpets. One of them has been lying outside on a bridge for years, in all weather. It is 27 metres long and weighs one and a half tons.
In the 1970s Hamburg was the world capital of the carpet trade, and at times up to 60 percent of the warehouse space here was rented to carpet dealers. The old storage floors are ideal for it: cool, dark and evenly humid. Artist Frank Raendchen first laid out the stone carpet in 2005, and it has been renewed every few years since.
Find the carpet and find out what it is made of. Then take a photo in which your team takes off on it.
