The Michel carries Germany's largest tower clock. Each of its four faces measures eight metres, and the gilded minute hand is 4.91 metres long. From below it looks like a toothpick.
On weekdays at 10 am and 9 pm the tower keeper plays a chorale on the trumpet in all four directions. The tradition is more than 300 years old.
Take a close look at the clock and note the position of both hands. Imagine the clock face as a circle divided into twelve equal sections. How many sections are there between the hour hand and the minute hand? Always count the shorter way around the clock. Agree on one answer as a team and submit the number of sections. Keep a photo of the clock as proof in case the host asks for it.
