Was sind die Preise für das Gewinnerteam?

Am Ende des Spiels gibt es einen Preis zu gewinnen, der die Spieler/innen anspornt, ihr Bestes zu geben. Wir bieten verschiedene Preise an, darunter unser beliebtes Urban Challenger Kartenspiel oder die begehrte Urban Challenger Trophäe. Außerdem kannst du deine eigenen Merchandising-Artikel oder Preise für die Gewinnerteams mitbringen, was einen zusätzlichen Anreiz bietet und als Marketingstrategie für deine Marke dient.

Do you offer both in-person and virtual team building events?

We do! We have in-person events that can be further customised and this is the perfect option for an in-person gathering like a retreat or a conference. Our game can also be played online with a virtual host, and this is suited for remote teams that need a cost-affordable alternative.

Is there an ice breaker activity?

Although our game itself is an excellent ice breaker, for teams that do not all know each other we allow time for introductions before getting started. And our on-site game host is there to brief everyone and make everyone comfortable and ready to go into fun mode.

What is the ideal group size?

Our city game challenges are designed for group play and are scalable to any size. That said, a small group of five people will play as one team. Larger teams will start together, then break out into multiple teams and hold a competition to see which team can achieve the most points. Of course, we bring everyone back together at the end to make for a cohesive and team bonding and team building experience. Talk to us about your particular requirements and we'll make it happen.

How is team building accomplished?

Our game is an excellent team builder. It was designed to boost creativity, drive cooperation and strengthen personal bonds. The unique challenges offered by the game help players discover new sides of themselves and create great stories to tell, resulting in more connection with their coworkers. And it's super fun!

How much will it cost?

Pricing depends on several factors, mainly your group size and event details. Prices start from 18EUR/person excluding VAT. The best way to get an estimate of costs for your requirements is to reach out for a quote.

Can you host hybrid teams?

Yes! As long as everyone can join from a personal device, we can distribute the teams randomly across both the remote and the office employees. Talk to us about your particular requirements and we'll make it happen.

Is Urban Challenger suitable for people with limited mobility?

If your team includes people with reduced mobility, we can provide an adjusted version of the game that removes the challenges with long walking distance or are otherwise non-accessible. Additionally, we can also provide alternative challenges that cater to different skill levels, so that everyone can fully enjoy the game.

Can we cancel or reschedule a booked event?

It is possible to cancel or reschedule the event free of charge up to 10 days before it is scheduled. If you need to reschedule after that point, there is a 75€ fee. In the event of a cancellation, we will charge 50% of the total amount.

What payment methods do you accept?

We will send you a quote with a payment link that will be processed through Stripe. We accept all major credit cards.
Alternatively, we can send you an invoice after the event that can be paid via bank transfer to our SEPA bank account.

How much walking distance is covered during the game?

The game is designed to be played on foot, with teams walking a total distance of approximately 3-5km. It is important to note that the game has no fixed route, meaning that the actual distance covered will vary depending on the eagerness of each team to walk. However, walking is not simply a means to an end in this game; the act of moving from one location to another can be an opportunity to explore the surrounding area, observe the environment, and interact with fellow team members or complete challenges along the way.

Absolutely. We can work with you to customize the game to your specific needs and preferences. Whether it's changing the game's theme or adding specific elements that are meaningful to your team and would encourage team bonding, we're here for it. How does the game's route in the city go?

Urban Challenger is not a conventional scavenger hunt where teams complete the same stations one after the other. In our game, teams can decide for themselves which challenges they want to tackle and in what order. In addition, many challenges are not tied to a specific location in the city and can be completed at very different places. This results in a unique route through the city for each team. Start and end points as well as challenges are always placed in such a way that they are all easily reachable by foot and take into account the particularly noteworthy places in the area.

How much time do we need to plan for the whole event?

The game is designed to last for 2 hours. We need an additional 15 minutes at the beginning to form teams and brief them, and another 15 minutes at the end to announce the winning team. Therefore, we recommend planning for a total of 2.5 hours for the whole event. The duration of the game itself can be adjusted, allowing for the event to be shortened or extended by +/- 30 minutes.

What's the recommended minimum age?

The recommended age for our regular game is 16+ years. However, we also have a separate edition of the game for individuals aged 10-16 years. If you require a game for a school class or youth group, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to make special offers for youth groups.

Where does the event start/end?

We can customize the starting and ending points of the city game to meet your needs. We have designated start and end points for our different game zones that are easily accessible and ideally located to begin the challenges. However, we can also meet you at your hotel or office and start the game there, or choose a convenient meeting point in a nearby park. The game will conclude at the same location where it started or at a nearby venue within walking distance, such as a beer garden or restaurant.

What are the prizes for the winners?

To motivate teams to give their best in the challenges and enhance their overall experience of the game, an exciting prize is offered to the winning team. You can either bring your own prizes, such as branded merchandise from your company, or choose from a wide range of prizes we offer. The most popular prizes are the Urban Challenger Trophy, which teams can display in their office as a memento of the event, and the Urban Challenger Card Game, which each team member can take home.

Is the game focused on a specific area of Berlin?

The game can be played in various locations throughout central Berlin, including Kreuzberg, Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, Neukölln, Wedding, Moabit, Schöneberg, and Charlottenburg. We offer different editions of Urban Challenger that focus on special aspects of the city. For example, the Kreuzberg edition highlights the unique characteristics, atmosphere, and story of this special district. We also offer an edition that takes place in the touristic center, allowing you to experience sights like the Brandenburger Gate in a playful way.

What does it mean that this game can be played anywhere?

This Urban Challenger edition includes challenges that are not specific to any particular site or location and can be completed in any urban environment. These challenges are our all-time favorites for engaging with the city around you and entering into a dialogue with your surroundings, as they provide a lot of freedom for you to find your own way to complete them. All you need is an urban environment to use as your playground and have fun, regardless of whether it's a small or big city. Some of the challenges will have you interact with some common features found in any city, such as historical places, statues, or locals roaming the streets.

How many people can play this game?

The challenges are designed for group play. You can play with a friend as a duo or with a larger group. However, if there are more than five people doing the challenges together, it can become confusing and difficult to involve everyone. Therefore, for larger groups, we recommend dividing into multiple teams and holding a competition to see which team can achieve the most points. This is also how we organize our Urban Challenger events. Note that if you want to form multiple teams, you will need as many card games as the number of teams you want to form.

How can this game be played?

The Urban Challenger card game offers several game modes. Our experience has shown that it is particularly enjoyable when played with drive and adrenaline. To achieve this, set a time limit and attempt to complete as many challenges or score as many points as possible. It's also great to turn it into a competition. You can divide into multiple teams and compete against one another. Note that each team requires its own deck of cards to ensure everyone has the same challenges.
Another way to use the Urban Challenger card game is to use the challenges as inspiration for exploring your city at your own pace - for as long as you want. You can choose the challenges that you like best, or leave it up to chance and draw them randomly. You can also complete all challenges in a category in one day, spending a creative day with the "Artist" category, for example, and learning about the city's history the next day with the "Time Traveler" category.

How can we play with more than one team?

If you are a large group, for example at a birthday party, a big travel group, a school class or a work outing with colleagues, it is a good idea to form several teams and compete against each other. For this you will need one game per team that you want to form, so that everyone has the same set of challenges. Choose a common starting and ending point, set a timer and get started.

App & Online Version

How can we access the online version?

In every card game box, there is a code printed on the inside that gives you free access to the online version. Sign up in our app or on our website and select the Urban Challenger Edition that you also purchased as a card game. Enter the code at check-out and payment options to get free access. However, note that you only have one access code. This means that you can only link one user profile for free with the online version and cannot register any number of users.

What is the purpose of the online version?

The card game Urban Challenger is available in both a printed and online version, with identical content. We developed the printed version because we enjoy holding the cards in our hands and passing them around in a team. However, the digital version has its own advantages, such as a score counter and timer, which can be helpful for competitive play. To fully enjoy both versions of the game, we have a special offer: access to the online version is included with every printed card game! This way, you can choose whether to play purely analog with the cards or utilize the online version as additional support. Each printed card includes a QR code that quickly takes you to the corresponding challenge in the app.
