Fashion, Fun & Fierce Competition: About You Takes on Urban Challenger

Hamburg-based fashion e-commerce company About You kicked off their Christmas party with an Urban Challenger game led by a remote Game Host. Teams dashed through the city's historic Speicherstadt, accompanied by their office dogs—including the aptly named "Paw-some Hustlers" team. The competition was fierce, with multiple teams scoring above 90 points and "The Winners" reaching an impressive 112 points, just shy of Hamburg's record.

The scavenger hunt through Nuremberg was our team building workshop and I have to start with the Imperial Castle, even though we were there last, because the view from up there over the red rooftops of the old town, you just have to see it. But before that, at the Marriage Carousel fountain, we copied the poses and it was SO funny that a school class started watching, although the teacher didn't look thrilled. Then the 3 im Weggla, these small Nuremberg bratwursts, and Jana asked why they're so small, to which a local explained it's tradition, which then led to a ten-minute discussion about Franconian food culture. At the Beautiful Fountain we turned the lucky ring, at the Hangman's Bridge got spooked, and the Lebkuchen at the end were, well, Lebkuchen from Nuremberg, so perfect. 98 points and the Powerpuff Girls definitely have power.

Team building workshop. City rally Nuremberg. Climbed up to the Imperial Castle. View over red rooftops. Moved on. Counted city wall towers. Found three. At the Beautiful Fountain turned the lucky ring. Works or doesn't, irrelevant. Ate 3 im Weggla, because mandatory in Nuremberg. Small, but good. At the Marriage Carousel copied poses. Photos look like medieval memes. At the Hangman's Bridge briefly spooked. Lebkuchen to finish, because Nuremberg. 78 points. Enough.

Champions as a team name might have been a bit optimistic, but that's beside the point. The scavenger hunt through Nuremberg was our conference program and I have to start with the Marriage Carousel fountain, even though we were there later, because those sculptures, they show scenes of a marriage in such drastic poses, and Tim tried to copy one and nearly fell into the fountain. Then the 3 im Weggla, three small bratwursts in a roll, that's tradition here, and they were so good Mia immediately got a second portion. At the Beautiful Fountain on the Hauptmarkt we turned the lucky ring, and up at the Imperial Castle the view over the red rooftops was simply, well, I'm digressing. 69 points and champions at heart.
